My poor cat (Mrs. Tinkles) died last month due to a massive flea outbreak. Weeks after her death, we still had literally hundreds of fleas romping throughout the house. I spent a lot of money on the cheap stuff and the expensive stuff. We tried all different kinds of sprays, flea collars and powders. Finally, I found Hartz 3 in 1 home spray for $6 a bottle at Walmart. It smells like WD-40, but it works. The flowery smelling stuff doesn't work anyways. A few sprays of this on the carpets and rugs and fleas began to die left and right. Two weeks later, we are flea free. Make sure you buy the Hartz 3 in 1 home spray (pictured above). They have several bottles that are different but have similar labels. We tried the 2 in 1 dog spray, and it didn't work at all.
